One of the Most Underrated Films Ever, on IMDb / RT (by IKnowGoodFilms) |
This film scores a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.7/10 on IMDb. That is nothing short of ridiculous. This film had absolutely nothing worth complaining about. The dinosaur CGI was totally top notch. It was possibly even better than what was used in the Jurassic Park films. The acting was great, saying I hadn't heard or seen any of the actors involved in anything else. The storyline was not only very, very interesting; but it was actually somewhat plausible, at least comparably to growing dinos out of DNA found in amber. Everything about this film was just great. I cannot comprehend these <more> |
Amazing great Movie WOW, and good storyline! (by evk311) |
this must have been one of the best movies i have seen in a theater for a long time, do you know that feeling when you leave the theater and think , boy that end sucks , well : not in this movie . i had no idea what to expect , but went with an open mind to see something about Jurassic park or so , which should be kind of cool. it was a little different than Jurassic but WOW what a great movie. it is about this high tech computer whizkid , crazy about portable mini cameras that sneaks into his father's expedition to Africa to find out more about unknown animals. the story doesn't get <more> |
Don't let the critics fool you! I prefer this one over the Jurassic Park series any day! (by debbie_ba) |
It's sad to see how many negative reviews this movie had, especially on rottentomatoes. The acting was well done with unique" actors and the dinosaurs were simply made beautiful. The story is thrilling and the start and end are matching like a closed circle, yet leaves an open ending which almost forces for a sequel – which I really hope there will be. The only reason I'm not giving 10 stars is exactly because of the ending – it left me at unease because we are left with no clue whatsoever if they did survive, only that they weren't found. I'd even go so far to say <more> |
Great Movie (by ejehuda) |
The movie has a very fun story to it, which leaves a lot of space for action and playing around with.Yes, some of the acting was cheesy, some of the story was cheesy, but all in all the story was very entertaining.I think they should have dropped the POV style of filming, because as a normal movie it would be great.Fun shots, lots of action, and a cool story. There are also very original takes on the whole dinosaur-man connection which I haven't seen in any other movie.CGI was really well done, which is pretty rare in movies that seem low budget.I think for some reason people are just <more> |
Really, Whats with the hate for? (by abdallah-eshaq) |
This movie really had me smiling at the end of it. And thats a good thing, really i could take this over the more recent king Kong any day of the week, this film does not even try to compete with a heavyweight masterpiece like jurasic park and as a result stands up on its own merits.Forget about the biased cheap scores the review sites have given this film, forget that this film has a cast of relatively unknown cast members, forget that this film isn't scientifically realistic, Just go and watch with an open mind. Its just so ambitious yet also so modest, one of the few pleasant surprises <more> |
My Review Of "The Dinosaur Project" (by ASouthernHorrorFan) |
"The Dinosaur Project" is a strange blend of found footage and science fiction that takes Jules Verne into the realm of nightmare. It is a more intense film than I was expecting with an slight atmosphere of hopelessness polluting the air of adventure. The film is directed by Sid Bennett and follows a group of scientist on a quest to search for the mysterious prehistoric creatures said to be terrorizing the locals deep in the jungle of central Africa. It is a tragic story that plays out through video recordings of the journey that is orchestrated by the lead scientist's stowaway <more> |
